Volunteer Steve Hipsey said: ‘ On Christmas Eve we delivered over 100 ‘goody bags ‘to isolated people and families in difficulty. The complex logistical operation seemed to go off without a hitch and we’ve had a lot of great feedback.
‘On Christmas Day we delivered 106 hot Christmas meals lovingly prepared by Julie Credicott and her wonderful team at Blue Skies Catering. Our brilliant volunteers delivered to addresses from Lifton to Dousland and everywhere in between. It was quite a task for everyone and we are deeply grateful to all those who gave up a part of their Christmas Day.’
On Boxing Day volunteers braved the wet and windy weather to deliver traditional Boxing Day boxes as a final treat to round off the holiday.
