I VERY much enjoyed watching my grandchildren (three boys and a girl) parading in their uniforms for the mayor last week. Thank goodness the girl is a Cub Scout or she would not have been in the parade, as there was no sign of any Guides or Brownies — just two Rangers. What a disappointment; when I was a Guider the girls always turned out for the mayor and Remembrance Day. Well done to the Army, ATC Dartmoor Rescue and others who were paraded so smartly.
