THE team at the Whitchurch Inn held a community fete to celebrate the 20th anniversary since the Langton family took over the pub.
The event involved many members of the community including St Andrew’s Church, Whitchurch Primary School and The Old School Children’s Centre, making it an event for all ages.
The weather was kind, allowing for the road outside the pub to be closed to give the event a street party feeling.
The evening brought live music from local bands with Devolution kicking off, then concluding with Nightshift. There were also acoustic performances during the day as well as dramatised open book stories from the church.
The pub has been family owned since 1999, when the Langton family saw its potential. It was carefully and lovingly transformed by Paul.
