THE final of the Devon County Golf Union's inaugural inter-club scratch foursomes was played at Teignmouth GC on Saturday for the Parker Cup between Yelverton GC and Fingle Glen GC.

It was a close and hard fought match with two of the matches finishing on the 18th green and one going down 19th but at the end of the day Yelverton won by two matches with Fingle Glen halving one match.

Henry Paget, the county vice president, presented the trophy and thanked all the staff at Teignmouth for their help in staging the event at short notice.
