YOUNGSTERS have been snapping away all summer in the hope of winning a prize for the best photo in the Tavyside Health Centre photographic competition, judged this week.
Joining Times photographer James Bird to judge the children's competition were the chairman of Tavistock Camera Club Stuart Black and Tavyside Health Centre practice manager Dene Medland.
In the four to seven age group, winners were Sebastian Thompson for the family and pet category, and the sport and leisure category and George McLaughlin in the Dartmoor category. Overall winner was Sebastian Thompson for family and pets.
In the eight to 11 group, winners were Morgan Buckley for family and pets, sport and leisure and celebration, and Connie McLaughlin for Dartmoor. Overall winner was Morgan Buckley for family and pets.
In the 12 to 16 group, winners were Shanelle Bowyer for family and pets, Tom Fox for sport and leisure and celebration and Charlotte Allen for Dartmoor. Overall winner was Shanelle Bowyer for family and pets.
The overall competition winner was Shanelle Bowyer with her picture entered in the family and pets category.
The competition was organised by the Tavyside Patients Association who expressed thanks to all who entered the competition.
