It’s our birthday!
We are Sue and Kate, owners of Bridal Reloved Tavistock, and five years ago today we were busy setting up our shop and completing training in preparation for our formal opening in March 2020. Well, despite our best efforts, things did not go quite as planned. Unbeknown to us, coronavirus was on the horizon and affected us all. Ten days after we opened to the public the first lockdown started and suddenly we were closed again! During 2020/21 we experienced a series of openings and closures as we worked with brides who had weddings cancelled, postponed or significantly altered, before things gradually returned to normal for us all.
We have had an amazing five years, selling a mix of new (end of line), ex sample and pre-owned dresses. We stock high end designer dresses, like Enzoani, Alan Hannah and Maggie Sottero in sizes 6-30. Our dresses are all a one-off and while we can’t reorder dresses or get them in different sizes, we constantly have new dresses coming into the shop so there is always something different to try. Dresses are available for you to purchase and take away with you on the day or alternatively can be purchased via a payment plan option. We also sell a range of veils and accessories to complete your look.
Bridal Reloved stores pride themselves on providing an eco friendly and sustainable option for brides. In 2024 the Bridal Reloved stores and their eco-brides saved 36,000 metres of fabric by reducing the demand for new dresses and keeping wedding dresses in circulation. Best of all our dresses are all at least half their original retail price or less!
We would like to thank all our customers over the last five years for their support. We have met some amazing brides and it has been our privilege to get to know them and their families as they plan their weddings and the next stage of their lives. Now however, as our five year anniversary approaches we are looking to the future. We moved to our new premises in Barley Market Street in July and are enjoying our new, larger store. We offer each bride an exclusive two hour appointment where they can select and try dresses in complete privacy with the trusted guests they bring with them. We are open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays by appointment only.
