Three Cotehele crews took part in this race — ladies C, ladies A and men's B. Fiona MacInnes from the club said: 'We were blessed with a beautiful dry day but the wind was brisk making the row back more challenging with choppy conditions at the mouth of the Tamar and Tavy. All crews had good rows. Salcombe ladies won the race but ladies A were more than happy with their second place.
The club's U16s coxed by Joe Oddie stormed home in first place and its second junior crew coxed by Kelly Elvidge came in third after Tamar and Tavy. This was the first competitive race for some of Cotehele Quay's juniors so it was great that they have had a chance to race ahead of next year's competitions.
The club's mens' veterans, coxed by Jerry Lawrence, won the next race by a strong lead which delighted the crew. The last race was the Barbarians where rowers are mixed up by age and sex. Many of the rowers participating were from Cotehele and the winning crew were Dan, Jade, Fiona, Kieran, Georgia and a male rower from Rame. They were coxed by John from Rame.
