THE weather at the weekend may not have been kind, with an odd mixture of sun and showers but this did not dampen the enthusiam to hear ‘leather against willow’ at Yelverton Bohemians on Saturday.

In the morning the club’s over 40s took on the U19s in a 20-20 encounter. Much to the consternation of the ‘oldies’ the young ones edged out their more experienced opponents.

In the afternoon the President’s game — between a side led by president David Langton against one led by first team captain Richard West, was a very wet affair, the game reduced to 20-20, with the club side winning in the final over.

There was a lot of fun had by all, young and not so young!
