YELVERTON Golf Club ladies played their July medal competition. The silver section winner was Di Friend with nett 71 and the bronze section winner was Angela Read, also on nett 71. Yelverton continues to progress in the Devon County Willes-Little cup, which is a foursomes knock out match play competition. Verna Isaac and Mair Preston-Jones beat the Thurlestone pair in the third round match played at Staddon Heights. Yelverton now goes through to the semi-final to be played at Axe Cliff.
