THIS was a great win for Bere Alston United as they savaged the visitors’ defence from the on-set.

Inside six minutes the home team were already 2-0 up — courtesy of goals from James Follett and Paul Simpson. There was no respite for Tavistock who were further hit when Chris Bray made it 3-0. A brace by Bere’s Dan Follett added to the visitors’ woe as they went into the interval 5-0 down.

More misery was applied when Simpson completed his hat-trick and the final nail in the coffin came with James Follett’s second.
