THE Lambs recorded another fine win against a Camelford side that worked their socks off, and at times played some good football, but they were no match for the home team.

Tavistock did not produce the the level of performance shown in mid week match against Parkway. A Glynn Hobbs hat trick proved to be the deciding factor in the routine win.

The game got off to a fast start with the home team denied from opening their account in the fourth minute when shots from Ben Cross and Shane Krac were cleared to safety. Minutes later a Steve Rogers pass found Luke Brown but his fierce shot was well saved by Griggs. Glynn Hobbs then hit the post following a fine move.

A rare mix up in the home defence in the tenth minute allowed Adkins in on goal but his shot was wide of the target. This unsettled the home team for a short period with Camelford getting a foothold in the game having a good ten minute spell. Josh Oak was forced to tip a fine shot from Ewings over the bar and two minutes later another made good save from Ewings, before Cordice dragged his shot wide of the target.

After this the Lambs regained their composure and dominated the game for the remainder of the first half.

In 20th minute a great move saw Hobbs play a one-two that saw Shane Krac in on goal where he was pulled down in the penalty area. The referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot.  Hobbs made no mistake from the spot kick as he rifled the ball home.

On the half hour a Hobbs thunderbolt from 20 yards cannoned back of the post.

Two minutes later clever work by Steve Rogers created space for Hobbs to find space and easily beat Griggs in the visitors goal. Griggs then made two brilliant saves to deny Hobbs and Krac from increasing the home teams lead before the interval.

The Lambs dominated the second half so it came as no surprise when they increased their lead in the 55th minute, when a header from Dan Evans was partially cleared the ball fell to Jason Vincent — his quick feet in the box beat two defenders, before placing the ball in the corner of the net.

The home team made the game safe three minutes later when, once again, a great move saw Krac in on goal but he was brought down in the penalty area. Hobbs thundered home the spot kick to complete his hat-trick.

Only a great goal keeping performance by Griggs prevented the Lambs from increasing their lead. The keeper produced four great saves to deny Krac, Rogers, Warren Daw, and Krac again.

Camelford, though, never gave up and always tried to play good football as Sleep forced Oak to make a good save in the 78th minute. In the dying minutes Grigg made another great save to deny Battle from scoring.

Although no where near the level of performance against Parkway, the team had periods where they completely dominated the game. There were several good performances but once again man of the match Hobbs was lethal in front of goal.
