Carlsberg South West Peninsula premierWitheridge 0Tavistock 6 TAVISTOCK recorded another fine victory when they put Witheridge to the sword on Wednesday night. With Saturday’s F A Vase match in mind manager Stuart Henderson rested forwards Josh Grant and Jack Crago to a place on the bench, with Tegan Rosequest and Jack Tribble taking their place.
The Lambs dominated possession from the start and after missing a couple of chances it was young Tribble that broke the deadlock midway through the first half, when a fine move resulted in him firing the ball home.
Ten minutes later the Lambs doubled their lead when Luke Brown gave the home keeper no chance as he slotted the ball home.
The visitors continued to create chances but could not add to their goal tally before the interval.
The second half was a repeat of the first as the Lambs pressed forward. Just before the hour mark Brown scored his second of the evening.
Four minutes later Tribble got his second goal with a fine finish, to make it 4-0 to the visitors.
Manager Henderson then made some substitutions with Crago and Grant replacing Josh Robins and Dave Hallett. He also brought on reserve Keeper Andrechenko, to give him some game time.
It was not long before the two strikers were in the action, and it came as no surprise when Grant made it five in the 78th minute. Four minutes later Crago added his name to the score sheet when he finished off a fine move to make it six.
This was another good performance to maintain the teams fine league form, and keep them in third place in a table with games on those above them.
Man of the match Luke Brown for fine all round performance.
