THE 100 golfers who teed off at Yelverton Golf Club on October 18 for the annual Barry Westall Memorial Golf Day holed a superb £3,000 for Children's Hospice South West.

The event was organised by Barry's father Patrick and included a presentation evening at the Plymouth Social Club. Patrick thanked everyone who took part or contributed to the event.

Club veterans played a three ball Stapleford, two to count last week.

The winners with 87 points  were Geoff Morris, Andy Roe and  Ray Bennett; second , on 85pts  Paddy Westell, Des Palmer and Mike Allan; third with 78pts, Derek Maughan, Ken Wheeler and Brendan McVeigh.
