HONOURS were even after this closely fought local battle at Langsford Park on Saturday.

Although in the first half Tavistock had near misses with efforts by James Phelps and Ian Rooke the visitors were not to be outplayed and it remained goalless at half-time.

Against the run of play it was Bere Alston who took the lead through a strike by James Conway.

Tavistock rallied and hit the bar twice with attempts from Scott Will and Rooke and the equaliser finally came when Kelvin Fyneboy finished off a pass from Phelps.
