ON Monday the Mid Moors Federation netball team, made up of pupils from Copplestone and Spreyton Schools, played its first ever tournament.
The children, in their new purple kits, showed great skills of cooperation to finish respectable runners up — matching the excellent result achieved by the Mid Moors football team earlier in the month.
This was the first netball tournament held at Spreyton for many years and was well attended by parents.
Executive headteacher Stuart Busby said: 'I am thrilled that the Mid Moors Federations is allowing pupils in both schools to have such a rich and varied diet of experiences. This is just the tip of the iceberg — we have many more exciting plans for after Christmas!'
