OKEHAMPTON Otters Swimming and Lifesaving Club took 22 swimmers to compete in the Exeter Sprints last month.

Several of the squad were competing in their first event and did themselves and the club proud.

The Otters walked away with an impressive collection of medals 11 in total and several personal best times.

Head coach David Dennis said: ’This was an amazing achievement for the club and the whole club are delighted at how well we did. It was wonderful to see so many of our younger swimmers do so well at such a major event.
