Yelverton Golf Club past captain, Andy Price, is pictured handing over a cheque for £1843.28 to St Luke’s Hospice partnership lead for Plymouth, Sarah Wallis.

The hospice was the captain’s nominated charity for 2021-22.

Sarah said to the club members: ‘Thank you so much for your phenomenal support of St Luke’s. Your very generous support has raised an amazing £1,843.28 for us to care for patients and their families in your local community, at Derriford Hospital and at our inpatient unit at Turnchapel.

‘This is a phenomenal achievement considering the difficult circumstances we all found ourselves in last year. Without dedicated supporters such as yourselves at Yelverton Golf Club, we simply wouldn’t be able to do all we do.’
