OCRA, Okehampton Primary and local schools have a vision to help all children be healthy, develop fundamental activity skills and an enjoyment for participating in sports.
More than 226 children from Okehampton, North Tawton, Northlew, South Tawton, Hatherleigh, Boasley Cross, Highampton, Chagford, Bridestowe and Lydford schools took part in the Year 2 Multiskills Festival at Okehampton Primary School.
OCRA manager Stuart Lord said: ‘It was great to see all the children smiling and having fun, whilst improving in skills and building in confidence. There were really diverse activities on offer in dance, catching, balances, fencing, running, throwing, ball skills and an obstacle.
‘A big thanks to Okehampton School for hosting this event and the fantastic young sports leaders from Okehampton College and the primary school.
‘If children in Year 2 would like to continue with Multiskills there is an OCRA Club on Thursdays at Parklands from 5pm to 6pm, that starts again after half-term with a whole range of fun games.’
