THIS year’s Tamar and Tavy Gig Club Regatta at Weir Quay is set to be the biggest yet, with eight rowing clubs confirmed and some competitive racing is expected. Saturday, October 1 will see the crews rowing to the Brunel Bridge and back, making it a tough six mile race. Following on from that will be novice and junior races, which will allow some of the many new members this year to get a taste of the adrenaline and excitement of racing.

Everybody is invited to attend and watch the races from the comfort of the river side.
