ON a lovely afternoon by the sea, North Tawton RFC ladies took 18 seconds to open the score!

With a team missing some of its more experienced players, several newer players experienced their first full game. Playing 13 a side, as Paignton could not raise a full 15 side, and uncontested scrums as they also had no front row this was a master class of North Tawton usual running, free flowing rugby as forwards and backs linked to slice through the defence on eleven occasions.

As well as providing the opening try from the kick off Hayley Hopkins provided six more tries and nine conversions.

Jo McBain and Lottie Trerise also scored and there was a well-deserved first senior try for Ann Webb playing on the wing.
