TAVISTOCK cruised to the quarter-final of the cup as they came out fired up and ready.

A solid defensive performance was a good footing for the midfield and forwards to get at the opponents.

The experience of the returning James Phillpotts was crucial and gave the rest of the team great confidence.

Tavistock, who were playing the better football, took the lead midway through the first half when James Burns laid the ball off to Ross Sherrell. who smashed the ball from the edge of the area and saw it curl into the top corner off the post.

Midfield pairing of Burns and man of the match James Paskins were at the heart of everything Community and won the midfield battle with ease. Tavistock's second came just before the break when Ash Pillay's pin point cross found the head of Dan Quick who guided it passed the Lee Moor keeper.
