THE Mount House U11 A girls' hockey team are pictured with their trophies for winning the recent U11s tournament at Queen's School in Taunton.
The team are now to Millfield School this coming weekend to compete in the IAPS U11s hockey tournament against the best school teams from all over the South West of England.
THE U11s from Mount House School enjoyed a busy week of hockey, with regular fixtures against Exeter Cathedral School, then the annual West of England Tournament at Millfield School, with qualification for the national finals at stake.
The U11 A team cruised to an 8-0 win against Exeter Cathedral School while the B team won 4-0 and 6-0 respectively. They came up against much stiffer opposition at the Independent Prep Schools Tournament at Millfield. In the group stages, they could only draw 0-0 with Blundell's, before beating Highfield from Hampshire with goals from Anneliese Wright and Millie Frostwick. After a tough 0-0 draw with Hazlegrove, they beat Sherbourne 7-0 win. before losing 0-1 to All Hallows to miss out on the next stage.
