Tavistock v Abbotskerswell

TAVISTOCK travelled to Abbotskerswell on Saturday hoping to change their fortune.

Losing the toss they had to bat first and it was another sorry tale of little application and poor shots. The exception once again was 12 year old James White who applied himself with a super 38.

Young Ben Cowdray and Owen Penrose each took three wickets to restrict Tavistock to 105 all out.

After tea Tavistock started well taking three wickets for 30 runs. However, a partnership of 40 for the next wicket insured that Abbots would get home to win by six wickets. For Tavistock young 12 year old William Scott-Munden bowled his leg spinners to concede only 14 runs in 9 overs and to take one wicket, an excellent debut.

Abbotskerswell beat Tavistock by six wickets.
