HORRABRIDGE School pupils have for the past nine weeks been learning to play bowls. They have been helped by coach Gillie Ainslea of the Bowls Development Alliance together with Yelverton Bowling Club coaches, Keith Glassbrook and Alan Crosby, supported by Christine Walkling. Bowls were loaned by Plymouth Life Centre and the use of the mats from Horrabridge Short Mat Club. Yelverton Bowling Club invited the pupils to show off their newly acquired skills by playing in a finals day at the club on Saturday. A lovely day was had by all, each of the pupils receiving a certificate of achievement together with trophies. Their headmaster John Clarke and parents of the pupils were there to show their support.
Young bowlers Flynn, Poppy, Louise, Fletcher and Charlie.
