BELSTONE Cricket Club will be taking part in NatWest CricketForce on April 9, an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) initiative aimed at rejuvenating local cricket clubs and giving volunteers an opportunity to get involved.
Belstone CC is expecting 30 or more volunteers, including players from the club to help with repairing the fence and stile, tidy the boundary and block up rabbit holes, clear up the mole hills, put the nets up, work on the square, tidy and paint the pavilion, clear out general rubbish, tidy and repair scorers shed, tidy colts shed and complete any other general maintenance.
NatWest CricketForce is the biggest annual volunteering event in sport.
There will be cricket games for the younger ones if the weather is good so come along as a family and have a good day out. Alternatively just come along and hear about the initiatives we have planned for youth cricket and the club in general for the next few years which will start with our 15 year old artificial wicket being replaced.
