WEST Devon CVS and Volunteer Centre celebrated Volunteers Week 2013 in glorious sunshine in two stunning locations.
This years' theme was 'It's time – time to say thank you' and around 80 local volunteers enjoyed free entry and a complimentary tea in the gardens of Buckland Abbey in Buckland Monachorum and Finch Foundry in Sticklepath. The events were arranged by West Devon CVS's Volunteer Centre and supported by the National Trust as part of the annual and national Volunteers Week celebrations.
Billie Burnett, volunteering services co-ordinator, West Devon CVS, said: 'These celebrations are a way of thanking local volunteers for their generous contribution of time and energy to a wide range of groups and organisations within West Devon.
'Volunteers should feel rightly proud of what they do in our community, and should accept our heartfelt thanks.'
