WEST Devon played host to the splendid sight of more than 20 post-war Rolls Royce and Bentley cars recently.
The Rolls Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts' Club members drove their precious vehicles from as far as Manchester and Norwich to Devon and based themselves at the Arundell Arms Hotel at Lifton for three days.
Their cars were primarily Bentley Mark 6s or Roll Royce Silver Wraiths and were all manufactured between 1948 and 1956.
The cars were in action every day as the club members used them to go to local sites and attractions, including Dartingdon, Lydford Gorge, Polperro and Castle Drogo as well as the Eden Project.
Club event organiser, Ian Hicks, said: 'We are delighted to bring our cars down to Devon. We have been made very welcome everywhere we have gone and everyone has been interested in the cars.
'The hotel and all the venues we visited looked after us really well. Devon is lovely and we look forward to our next visit.'
Hotel director Adam Fox-Edwards said: 'It has been a pleasure to have the Rolls Royce and Bentley Club with us.
'The members seemed to really appreciate all that our wonderful Devon countryside offers and the cars made a splendid sight in the car park.'
