Yealmpton v Okehampton
OKEHAMPTON made a trip to Yealmpton on Saturday in their Devon League cricket match.
Yealmpton batted first on a dry wicket, but Okehampton got an early breakthrough when Ainsworth caught Barker off Mortimore's bowling with the score on 21 runs.
Then came a stand between Sloman and Harvey of 77 runs. Harvey was out on 49 when he gave a catch to Ainsworth off Furniss with the score on 98.
Okehampton bowlers kept at it and Yealmpton were bowled out for 194 runs.
Okehampton's bowlers were Mortimore and Furniss with figures of 5 for 46 and Furniss 3 for 55.
Yealmpton batsman Moiser was 40 not out.
After tea, Andy Luxton and Steve Harris opened Okehampton's innings.
Yealmpton broke through early when Harris was bowled by Avery with the score on 7. A stand of 41 was made between Luxton and Ainsworth.
With the score on 48 Ainsworth was out, followed by Luxton for 22, both players going on 48.
With the score on 71 for 5 Okehampton were all out for 77, losing by 117 runs.
A good bowling figure of 7-30 was made by P Garland.
