CHILDREN and parents of Delaware Primary School will be strutting their stuff down a catwalk for a fashion show this month.
The Friends of Delaware and Delaware Community Primary will be hosting the fashion show at 6pm on Thursday, June 20 at the primary school.
The volunteer models will be showcasing work from local designer Ginte, Tesco's Florence and Fred collection and local jewellery shop Purple Penguins.
Both adults and children from the school have volunteered to model for this event, which will raise funds for the Friends of Delaware PTA.
This year alone funds have been spent on school trips, classroom equipment, waterproof coats for Foundation children to make full use of the outdoor area and much more.
However, the biggest spending plans are currently focused on improving what is on offer for the children in the playground.
It is hoped the fashion show will make a valuable contribution to this.
Local designer Ginte has given up time and resources to allow all the children in three classes of Foundation, year one and year two to design their own t-shirt and have it made. Some of the wonderful original designs will be modelled at the fashion show.
The event is open to anyone who would like to attend. The cost is £3.50 for adults, including a glass of wine or soft drink, and £1.50 for children, including a soft drink.
