THE Christmas period at Lamerton Village Hall saw two highly successful events involving three local organisations.
The Christmas Fayre was extremely well attended and had a full range of very professional looking stalls. Hall Chairman Clive Fairchild said it was a really enjoyable day that raised more than £1,100 for the hall.
A few days later there was a joint performance by the Tavistock Musical Theatre Company and the Lamerton Handbell Ringers.
The Theatre Company ran through a wide range of pieces, from Do They Know it's Christmas, to Walk Like a Man and a variety of Christmas carols.
The Lamerton Handbell Ringers also played a range of their own pieces and were joined by the Theatre Company for Away in a Manger and O Come All Ye Faithful. The evening provided a wonderful variety of music for all tastes.
Clive thanked the Rotary Club of Tavistock, the Lamerton Handbell Ringers and the Tavistock Musical Theatre Company for making Lamerton's Christmas events so successful.
