TAVISTOCK disabled youngsters said they had a fantastic time at the recent Playground to Podium Disability event held at Ivybridge Community College.
Holly Rippon of Tavistock College said: 'It was a fantastic day and the students really enjoyed themselves and gave some great feedback.
Some of the comments from those taking part — Tom Worth: 'I have enjoyed it, it was brilliant and I enjoyed all the activities especially the boccia.'
Jack Worth: 'Fantastic, brilliant, especially enjoyed the running and boccia.' Kieran Hurford: 'New experience to do boccia, it was fantastic, excellent and pleased I did well.' Jess Dingle:'It was awesome, I'm glad I got the experience, I achieved a lot from today. Ed Larkin: 'It was an amazing experience.'
Marnie Pemberton: 'I had fun because I made a friend and learned a lot.
The adults added: 'We all felt it was a great day and lovely to see our students enjoying the range of sports on offer and interacting with students from other schools. Thanks to Tavistock Area Support Services for the vehicle and fantastic lady driver.'
