A YELLOW weather warning for rain on Thursday and into Friday has been issued by the Met Office.

The warning covers the entirety of the South West from 2am on Thursday, February 8, to 6am on Friday, February 9.

There is expected to be periods of heavy rain, which will likely cause disruption, particularly to transport.

Also, flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.

Bus and train services are probably to be affected, with journey times taking longer.
