EARLIER this month Yelverton Golf Club ladies’ captain Angela Read took a group to Bowood Park, near Camelford. The time away at a totally different venue provided plenty of scope for challenging golf, relaxation and enjoyment. Team spirit was much in evidence. The 18 hole three ball better ball competition was won by Ray Bovingdon, Jean James and Mair Preston-Jones. The nine hole waltz competition was won by Verna Isaac, Chris Longden and Angela Read.
