ON Saturday a four ball, better ball, Stableford competition was held at Okehampton Golf Club.

The winners of division one were Matt Parry and Barry Down with 43 points narrowly beating Rob Green and Stuart Tolley on the back nine placing them in second; Malcolm Hooper and Richard Prouse were third with 42pts and Fred Cooke and Harry Hawking were fourth, also with 42pts.

Division two was won by Norman Heslop and Tim Butler with 45pts; Alan Lawson and Alex Anderson were second with 42pts after countback from, in third, Mark Bennett and Shane Monnox.

The ladies had a one to count two to count Stableford competiton with drawn partners and the winners with 57pts were Di Johnson and Sue Stanbury and in second place were Cherry James and Frances Harbron with 53pts.
